This bright white 1892-CC Morgan Silver Dollar jewel is graced with flashy original mint luster and a spectacular cartwheel shine. The brilliant white, sharply cut devices stand boldly against beautiful silky fields of unblemished beauty. The devices are crisp and well-defined, with plenty of detail to appreciate. This gorgeous Morgan is definitely a rock-solid GEM and would make an excellent addition to any high-end collection.

 

While the 1892-CC Morgan Dollar was minted in larger quantities than other Carson City dollars, most of the mintage was not released but melted down for reuse, making it one of the most elusive Morgan Dollars today. As a result, Morgans from this mintage often sell at a premium, especially in highly sought-after GEM grades. Note that PCGS has only graded a total of 20 Morgans higher than this one (18 at MS66 and 2 at MS67), making this MS65 specimen one of the best surviving examples of its kind.
