This play is billed as a comedy, but it is a very dark story of betrayal and manipulation. In its way, it's kind of the lesbian "Boys in the Band"; a landmark of early gay theater. This was made into a remarkable film. A must for every gay theater collection.

This is the hardcover edition published when the play was first presented in on Broadway at the Belasco theatre.
