1918 Tri-Fold

Up for auction is this fine, vintage Knights Templar Masonic watch fob.

This FOB features the Knights Templar cross and crown. This is set on a starburst emblem that reads In Hoc Signo Vinces in black enamel on a curved circle surrounding. The arms of the Maltese Cross are nicely decorated with gold accent lines. At the top is a detailed Yod symbol in a black enameled triangle with flourishes on either side. There are two crossed swords behind. The back has the Scottish Rite emblem of a double headed eagle done in tremendous detail. At the top is the number 32 in a black triangle in similar fashion to the Yod on th reverse. The back of the eagle is engraved

"Chas. P. Johnson, Lake Erie Consistory, Dec. 13, 1918."

The middle emblem in this tri-fold is a teutonic cross. The eagle side bears beautiful red enamel with golden scales of justice amid a blue background. The reverse side of this center emblem features what I believe is the 18th I.N.R.I. degree. It is a Square and Modified compass with an Eagle atop the square, white enamel behind, a red cross with emanating beams and another bird at the top. The Compass is modified to look like an arch. The last side has a small notch where someone tested for gold. It features a Royal Arch keystone with KSHTWSST symbol in white with an interesting symbol in the center that I am uncertain of. This FOB is AWESOME! It snaps tightly, stands 30.5mm (1 3/16") tall, and weighs in at 15.9 grams of 14k gold (getting $228 in gold value alone!).

This fob is in great condition and would be a great addition to your collection!
