KODAK WOOD FOLDING BOX CAMERA CYCLONE NO.3 ANTIQUE OLD

Up for your consideration is this antique wood box Kodak Cyclone NO.3 camera.

FEATURES: This camera features a solid wooden case covered in leather and a slide out bellows and may require a glass (?) film slide. I have very little technical knowledge of this camera so I took lots of pictures. I can tell you that I recently saw a camera almost identical to this sell on eBay in July of 08' for over 600 dollars.  I will continue to reduce the price every time it gets re-listed - until it is sold, and I will bet that before Christmas of 09 it will be sold. Just below the front lens there is a silver plate and it says " The Wizard Manhattan Optical Company NY Cresskill, NJ." There seems to be either a timer or shutter lever that also seems to be okay as well.

CONDITION: Of course with anything this age, there are going to be some flaws that is why I took a lot of pictures. However you can see that the leather cover has severely dried and is coming loose from some places on the box. In fact, the handle is now in 2 pieces and there are many sections of the leather missing from the outside of the oak box.However the inside is in much, much better condition. There is some damage to the outer case on the front fold down left edge. The back flap does not latch/lock closed properly either.

BACKGROUND: The person I got it from (a very old man that lived in Grayslake Illinois) said it had been in his closet for over 40 years. He had got it on a remodeling job from an old camera shop in the downtown section of Chicago as a young man.
