This listing is for a KS MusicMaster transcription type tonearm that was part of a custom transcription turntable, made in Japan (see my other auctions for the turntable). Includes a Shure M33-5 cartridge, has not been tested but needle appears and feels good. Circa 50s-1960. I know little about this model...hopefully a knowledgeable audiophile can school me and I will add the info to this listing. I thought it could be a Gray copy, but the turntable housing is stamped Japan...so, I need assistance. What I know: Arm tracks super smooth, floats weightlessly across vinyl. I did not hook it to audio, but needle looks good...needs to be properly wired. Arm measures 12" total length, 1 7/8" wide at tail and 1" wide at head. Plastic top-shell is cracked and seperated about a 1/4" from head (see pics). The break is clean and appears to be easy to glue, should be easy to conceal damage. There is a notch in metal in underside at articulated section (see pic)...looks factory, but missing paint. Metal is wrinkle finished with a light brown color. Also, includes the parts in last photo. The cylinder turns and raises an inside chamber which appears to have held a stylus brush at one time. The brass nub with ring must have been a mount for the arm rest which is missing. Three screws for mounting the base. There are 12 x-large photos that should give you a pretty good idea of what it looks like. Sold as-found. The photos are of the actual items being offered in this auction. If you need more information, please feel free to ask!. QUESTIONS? If the photos and the description are not clear enough to get a good sense of the item, please contact me and ask any questions you might have before you place any bids. I will try to answer as well as I can, as promptly as I can. It is always best to submit questions at least 24 hours prior to auction end, as I may not be available on end-date to respond. I will post all relevant questions in the Q/A section below pictures.RETURNS? I allow returns if I have mis-represented the item in some way. I will cover the cost of insurance for US shipping if item value exceeds $100.SHIPPING? I am generally available to ship on Tuesday or Friday (occasionally other week days) and do not ship on weekends. Payment needs to clear in my PayPal account before I ship. I only ship USPS, both Priority and Parcel Post...depending on weight/size of item. I try to calculate the best rate in order to save buyers some money. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost (unless otherwise noted)...this cost should be clearly stated on auction page. Combined shipping is available on multiple, same day auctions.I like receiving positive feedback and like to give it...hopefully this information clears the air for a friendly transaction. Positive feedback will be reciprocated gladly, negative or neutral feedback can easily be avoided...let me know if you have any concerns before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I will do my best to correct any reasonable problems. Kind Regards, Best of Luck and Cheers! Stagga |
