This auction is for a tiny piece (~2mg) of the Karoonda meteorite. This meteorite is both a rare class and a witnessed fall. It is the namesake for carbonaceous chondrite type "CK" - making it an essential piece for a complete type specimen collection. Karoonda is a frail, crumbly stone meteorite - which is why these small fragments like this exist. Although this is only a tiny piece, Karoonda isn't offered very often at all!
