Here is an oppportunity that does not happen too often, this mint condition KAWAI high end 50" studio upright is jam packed with features only reserved for Midi Grand pianos!
Originally purchased new in 1994 this piano spent it's life previously in a private residence where it was very well maintained and taken care of. Exterior is completely pristine with no dents, nicks or scratches. If you are familiar with todays top of the line Kawai K8 or previous US8X you will see there are many similarities with regard to function and design. One of the many drawbacks of standard lower end studios is the fact a sheet music or books are not easily accommodated. As you see here in the pictures this piano comes with a full music rack. Underneath this rack is a large "sound vent" to allow the passage of music through the front of the piano. This greatly improves the tonal quality. Anybody who is familiar with uprights will tell you a major drawback is the fact that the sound is directed to the rear which is usually faced to the wall. The elegant cabinet also sets itself apart from standard "coffin style" studios with the curved sides and rounded edges. The Silent Feature is factory installed and with the turn of a switch the sound of the piano is muted allowing the pianist to plug in a set of stereo headphones a listen to the sound of a 9' concert grand. This allows hours of practice in private. The addition of this feature also allows you to either record into a computer or use the keyboard as a midi controller either with the sound of the 50" upright or without it! This is the most useful feature ever installed in the piano since the sustain pedal! The piano now can be the center of a small recording studio and would be perfect for the aspiring composer and/or pianist. See the video demonstration of these features, I can tell you from a classical pianists perspective that although I would have never thought this feature would have been useful in my studies of classical music, when it came time for me to earn a living playing music playing pop music payed the bills and was only possible with current technology which is what this piano has!
