Offered here is a keris from Surakarta, in Central Java, Indonesia.

The blade has the very rare the pamor motif along-along, which according to the Dutch keris authority Ing. Tammens, is a very powerful pamor suited to a warrior.

The wrongko or scabbard is the formal ladrangan style and is made of trembalu wood. It is fitted with a pendok (metal sleeve on lower part of wrongko) made of brass that is  embossed with a motif of a serpent (naga) amongst foliage.

The ukiran or hilt  is the Surakarta yudowinatan form and it has a gilt hilt ring or mendak set with brilliants.

Overall condition of this keris is excellent.

Blade length is 15"(380mm.), overall length is 19.75" (500mm.)
