Please review all the photos, I purchased this in a military auction to have in our emergency supplies at home for the family. It is the real deal. I don't know anything about fire fighting equipment, I just purchase the best I could get ahold of so please make sure this is good for your needs. I have other auctions on right now on eBay with different sizes and PANT as well, check them out purchase what you want and I will always do my best to combine shipping to make it as cheap as possible for you. On international shipping I will work with you to get the best rate - payment must be made on the calculated rate and I will refund any savings by combining the items the best I can. I also refund domestic shipping savings as sometimes the rates just end up being lower (we do not make profit on shipping). stock#8478
Payment
For all items which will be shipped payment is due upon auction close via Pay Pal, which is the ONLY form of payment I accept for items which will be shipped. For large items which local pickup is required, a small Pay Pal deposit will be required and the remaining balance will be paid with cash.
Shipping
We do NOT make any profit on shipping. We allow customers to see the actual cost of shipping before bidding which is displayed to the customer by the eBay shipping calculation tool. We ship using the following shipping carriers; USPS, UPS, and FedEx. The actual method used will depend on several factors; location, destination, pick up cutoff time, strikes, weather, cost and various other considerations. On most items there is a three dollar charge built in to cover packaging, delivery confirmation and other shipping related charges (this is NOT profit to us - on average it does not even cover the actual cost). Because we are now listing MOST auctions with a low starting no reserve price - we have to ensure shipping cost is covered. Shipping is our biggest concern for our ability to sell the items we have for a fair price for both the buyer and us. Because of the high price of shipping we have began to move more inventory to other local selling methods (which is working well but we still want to sell as much as we can on eBay). Shipping carriers seem quick to add fuel surcharges when cost is above forecasted prices; but have you ever seen a fuel rebate when fuel goes below the forecasted price? We believe there should never be profit received from shipping! Shipping is NOT a profit center on our items. On average we pay more for the shipping process than we collect; our goal is to breakeven. On large items requiring freight shipping local and regional carriers are sometimes the best method. Many of the items I am selling are high quality, HEAVY and/or LARGE items please keep that in mind. We are taking as many steps as possible to reduce shipping costs; we buy used boxes when possible, reuse boxes when possible, reuse peanuts, etc. This helps keep the cost down and is also environmentally friendly. These efforts have helped to bring the average cost down to a bit over $3 a shipment for packing materials. If we are able to increase sales we hope to be able to negotiate better shipping rates (unfortunately as we have begun to see success using more local based internet selling tools this reduces our shipping volume, but we keep trying!) Hopefully the overall price with shipping will still be a good value for you and we can have a happy repeat customer.
Terms of Sale
All sales are as is / where is with no returns. We do our very best to describe the items the best we can. You end up getting an OUTSTANDING value on our items. Although since 1999 I have only had three items returned we do not officialy accept returns as a policy.
If you have an issue with a product please contact me and we can discuss, keeping in mind there is no return on any vehicle sale and shipping charges cannot be refunded in either direction as well.
Shipping Insurance Claims -- In the unlikely event that an item is damaged in transit; we will need the customers input for the insurance paperwork claim (all shipping companies require both the customer and seller to complete a portion of their paperwork). It is important to note that shipping carriers may require that you show them the damaged box which the item was shipped in (so please keep it until the insurance claim process in complete).
About Us
Three years ago I was hit by the 53 foot trailer of a semi truck in my Honda Civic Hybrid. That brief period of time has forever changed the direction of my and my familys lives. Four surgeries, six figure medical bills and the bankruptcy of the trucking company which hit me (accident was 100% their fault) have forced the sale of anything we can live without. There are long, complicated and confusing stories on how we came to own what we are selling. At this point we are not purchasing any items to sell; this was never intended to be a business for us and I consider it lucky to recover 20% of original cost. In our need for cash (we are always a week away from getting the power turned off) we are selling most items with NO reserve and at some point will simply will run out of items to sell.
