Edwin Knowles Mexicana southwestern five (5) piece place setting. Consists of a large dinner plate, salad plate, berry bowl, teacup with its saucer.
From their Deanna shape comes the pattern called Tia Juana II. Decorated with a colorful array of items ~ a man in a sombrero sleeping in the doorway of an adobe home ~ colorful urns and pots on shelves. Trimmed in red around the rims.
Inkstamped on the bottoms Edwin Knowles, along with production coding. For example, the piece is marked 43-6 ~ if it holds true like any of the other dinnerware companies, it means that this item was produced in June 1943.
Dinner plate measures 10 1/8" diameter ~ bread/salad plate 6" diameter ~ fruit berry bowl 5 3/8" diameter ~ tea cup 2 1/4" tall ~ saucer 6" diameter. No chips cracks or repairs. Good strong decal on the pieces. The dinner & salad plates have a little bit of crazing here and there on them. If you tilt the pieces at an angle in the light, you can see some tiny utensils marks from years of loving use.
