The KND-23 has two "large" ports for 1/0 or 4 gauge cables and three "small" ports for use with 4 gauge or 8 gauge. (ground blocks are "common" points, so there is no technical "in" or "out") The KND-23 has 12 Unique Konfiguratons. Please see our reference chart link below to see what fittings are included with this model. This block includes 6 Kompression Fittings that should cover the most popular installation needs.
Additional fittings are available for purchase. Also available is a 2 way Fuse Block and 3 way Fuse Block
Included with this item is - One Large 1/0 Fitting, One Large 4 Gauge Fitting, Three Small 4 Gauge Fittings and One Small 8 Gauge Fitting
KND/KNF Output Configuration Chart
KND/KNF Blocks contain User Configurable Kompression Fittings. The Charts below indicate the possible configurations available with each block. There are two different sizes to the outer diameter of the fittings; Large and Small. A Larger Fitting is either 1/0 or 4 Gauge and a Small Fitting is 4 Gauge or 8 Gauge. We have noted an L or S in the charts below to indicate the port size

How the Kompression Block Works - Strip the jacket off the cable; Insert the wire into the fitting; fold the copper strands as shown in the photo; Tighten the fitting into the block, compressing the cable into place. This results in 360 degrees of contact area, unlike set screw blocks that have just the one high pressure point. The Kompression Fitting allows more strand/block interaction, which results in less resistance and more current flow.
