Kodak
Ektachrome 64T
Reversal
Film 7280
Super 8 Cartridge - FRESH!!

Kodak Ektachrome 64T is a
color
reversal motion picture film featuring excellent color reproduction,
fine grain, and sharpness.
Super 8 is as popular as
ever!!
People
everywhere are
realizing the merits of film over digital video from film students to
professional film-makers to casual home movie makers like
myself.
I can honestly tell you that I have taken just as much Super 8 and
Regular 8mm footage in the past year as I have digital and VHS
combined. It's hard to explain, but my family and I prefer
the
look of film to video.
Make your movies
last!!
The archival properties of film
assure me
that my two-year-old will be able to enjoy the videos that I am taking
today when he is a grand-father!! The VHS movies that my
parents
shot just a few years ago look absolutely terrible and will continue to
degrade whether we're watching them or not. Film is
different. Don't believe me? Try it. Find
some family
members that have taken footage back in the 50s or 60s and run it
through a clean and
serviced
projector. Not
bad for 50 years
old!!! As with anything, if you don't have
family film,
you can get on ebay and buy someone else's family film to perform the
test with!
Processing
is not a problem!!
Processing is still readily available and affordable from
professional labs (Just do a google search for "8mm film
processing"). Process for this film is B&W Reversal
D-94A. My own personal recommendations are
Minnesota Film & Video
for
black-and-white film and
Dwayne's
of
Kansas for color film.
Film
Storage and Age
I store my film in a special cooler at the proper temperature (below 55
degrees fahrenheit) and keep my prices low to keep stock
moving.
Rest assured that the film you are purchasing has been received
directly from Kodak within the past month. Think
FRESH!!!
What
are my other choices?
I
carry four different varieties of Super 8 Cartridges at my ebay
store. A brief description of each is as follows:
Kodak
Ektachrome 64T
7280 - A
color reversal motion
picture film that features excellent color reproduction, fine grain,
and sharpness.
This
is my
best selling film and for good reason. The colors are
beautiful,
just make sure you have enough light!
Kodak Plus-X
7265 - A
medium-speed (100 ASA)
black-and white reversal motion picture film for use outdoors in
average daylight and indoors where there is adequate light for proper
exposure. This film is less expensive than the color films
and
makes a good choice for either budget-conscious film-makers or those
looking to obtain that classic black-and-white "look".
We filmed a friendly work
football
game with this film stock and it was great! I use this film
more
than any other.
Kodak Tri-X 7266
- A high-speed
(200 ASA) black-and-white reversal motion picture film for use under
conditions of low-level illumination such as for night sports
photography. It is not suitable for bright sunlight unless
the
camera can provide proper exposure (automatic or manual).
This
makes a for a good indoor film.
Perfect for catching the
kiddies
expressions on Christmas morning!
Kodak
Vision2 200T 7217 - A color negative film featuring
accurate
color reproduction and wide latitude with excellent shadow and
highlight detail. The choice for professionals and aspiring
amateurs. Since
this film
is negative film, it is not meant for direct projection. This
film will need to transferred to digital format via telecine before it
can be viewed. Probably not the choice for most home movie
makers
due to cost, but can yield absolutely stunning results if used
properly.
