Kramer 700ST Striker 4-String Bass Guitar USA

Ok, here we have my beloved '86-'87 Striker 700st. Now, there is some confusion as to dating the serial#s and where these basses were made. After over a month of research, I believe the bass to be MFG in the Neptune, NJ factory and assembled in Japan at the ESP plant after they shipped all the stuff from NJ to Japan. I lived and grew up in NJ. I also worked at the 2nd Neptune factory when it was first built in the mid 80's, so I do have my own experience and friends that have a good memory.

First of all, the SPECTOR PICKUPS point to USA. So does the Serial#, especially the first two letters, SE. The points for Japan are the pointy headstock, Kramer lettering, and a ply body.
Now, I've always assumed that a ply body ment crappy tone. Well, I was wrong. And so are you! Lol.
This particular bass has a thick, meaty tone that gets crisp highs along with thundering lows. I can go 1/2 step flat and drop D with no issues whatsoever. Killer rock/metal tone with plenty of room to adjust your sound.

Great action, as all my basses are set-up by me. Nice flat neck, probably a 16" radius on the neck. P-Bass feel, but smoother.
I do have the string retainer. The bar goes across all 4 strings. I removed it for a clear pic of the headstock.
Brand new ESP case, fits like a glove! Perfect for protecting the angled headstock.
THIS BASS IS AN UNBLEMISHED, CLOSET CLASSIC. No damage, marks, scuffs at all. Virtually brand new. Spector lettering on one pup is a 'lil worn, THAT'S IT!
