The Yashica-Mat is a TLR which means that it has two lenses, a lower lens that actually takes the picture and an upper lens that is only used for viewing and composing. TLRs have many advantages, including low weight and very quiet operation. Since there is no moving mirror, hand-held Images are often sharper than if an SLR was used.

This is a beautiful Yashica Mat-124G that appears to have never been used.   Serial #7114874 - cosmetically - this is in pristine condition - no dents, dings scuffs or wear marks.   Battery compartment is immaculate - as well as flash shoe - no scuffs.   Comes with Copal 80mm. 1:2.8 lens and 80mm.1:3.5 lens.   Unit has self timer, meter.  Glass and optics are good as well.   Comes with original leather case and original Yashica twin lens cover.
