VINTAGE KNITTING PATTERNS
ONE IS A CROCHET PATTERN
For your consideration are these 8 Beautiful Vintage Lacy Bed Jackets and Breakfast Shawls. The knitting or crochet patterns which have been digitally enhanced for this re-production. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and some of the patterns require a crochet hook to finish off the outside of the piece. Not all require you to crochet to to add the finishing touches to the piece, I actually think that you can simply knit an edge around the shawl as you would a sweater. There are no finished sizes given to any of the patterns, but I would imagine they are to fit an average size woman and some may fit a larger woman. You can usually accomplish making an item larger by changing the size of your needle and possible adding extra rows.
Your patterns will be on bright white acid free paper and placed into clear acid free sleeves. The reason for acid free is to deter yellowing. (Now that I have said this you will probably see this on other listings because people feel the need to copy from me. Geeze.) Your patterns will be bound together with very pretty shimmery yarn that you can either leave it that way or simply untie it and add it to your 3 ring binder. You are going to love these patterns. My mother is older and older people get cold even when their thermostat is set on 76. With that said guess who is getting one for Christmas. First I am going to attempt the Breakfast Shawl, I like that the best and then maybe a different one for myself. It's a toss up of either making number 802, 810 or 808. I will have to post a picture of my finished item.
These Patterns were gently removed from a magazine (not by me) and was placed into clear acid free plastic sleeves to deter yellowing and can be easily added to your 3 ring binder for easy access. When we purchase patterns that were removed from magazines we always remove the staples, trim the edges with our Fiskers Professional Paper cutter then place them into the clear acid free sleeves to help them nice until sold. We do not mind the additional time or expense to make things nice and have always gone the extra mile for our buyers and they have told us how much they Love & Appreciate our extra efforts. ENJOY!
