LAKE SUPERIOR PASTEL PAINT AGATE,W/CUPRITE,KEWEENAW CO.

 This specimen of a Lake Superior Pastel Paint Agate is very awesome in it's own way,besides the great colors, it has a Cuprite triangle center with lots of Cuprite spheres about the polished face of the stone.It was collected off the shore line of Lake superior,Cedar Bay,Keweenaw county,Michigan.It is 7/8" x 5/8" x 1/2" and weights in at 5.9 grams.The pink color is from microscopic Copper crystal inclusions,in the fracture line it has Cuprite and Chalcotrichite.Very nice colors set of peach,pink, white,yellows and reds,with banding and eyes .At one time this specimen was thought to have a pink Datolite center,but it was tested and it is just an Agate,but still one of the better specimens of a Pastel Paint Agate.The outer skin has been weathered by the action of the Lake.Buyer pays all shipping by zip or postal codes and insurance if requested.Thanks for looking and look at our store for other mineral specimens and more.Please enlarge photo images ,if you want better images ,I will be glad you email  anyone some.Just email with you email address,thanks.
