Handcrafted Large Poplar Yarn Swift

Description:
The Knit Store began offering these beautifully handcrafted swifts a few years ago for friends and local yarn enthusiasts that were in search of a quality/affordable product. We now carry a full line of well priced, high quality knitting and weaving supplies in our ebay store. Do not let the price fool you. These swifts are made from hand selected poplar, and worked with care to provide a quality product which should last for many years. Purchase one today and we think you'll agree. If a yarn swift is what you seek, you won't find a more reasonably priced swift anywhere.

Specifications:
This brand new oak swift/skeinwinder was handcrafted in our Illinois workshop with poplar. This model is our large swift which has been sanded and left unfinished. The swift is designed to be used on any level surface such as a table or the floor. We use 5/16" dowels that are adjustable to 6 different positions along each of the 30" x 3/4" arms which are able to accommodate skeins ranging from 32" to 72" in circumference. This swift can be used to turn hanks of yarn into center pull balls with your ballwinder (not included), or to wind a hank from loose yarn. The swift disassembles for easy storage.
