You are bidding on a large and rare [MANUSCRIPT] undated Bible Scroll, from the book of Deuteronomy found by locals in an attic what used to be a synagogue in Morocco with other judaica items. The scroll is Hand written in the original Hebrew Script on soft brown Deer parchment (Gvil) and is approximately 400 yrs old. The scroll is well preserved, the parchment holds its ink well and the letters remain black and easy to read. Panes are tightly sewn together with natural animal string. The scroll has a beautiful deep warm brown color like scrolls that come from Morocco and are very rare as well. Scrolls of this type are no longer made and the process for making these distinctive scrolls has been lost over the centuries Scrolls like these are extremely rare and seldom seen in synagogues due to age and is important for its utmost rarity of the earliest examples the Hebrew writings of the Bible. The scroll is approx. 20 inches in height x 3+ feet long. This is an opportunity to own a genuine piece of history as a family heirloom and a stunning display item for your home. Moses' last day of earthly life. "I am one hundred and twenty years old today," he says to the people, He transfers the leadership to Joshua, and writes (or concludes writing) the Torah in a scroll which he entrusts to the Levites for safekeeping in the Ark of the Covenant.
