Which transfer paper is right for you?
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
We have various types of transfer papers for Laser and Inkjet Printers, such as Opaque White [OW] Opaque Metallic [OM] or Transparent [T].

This Sale is for LASER printer transfer papers that have an OPAQUE WHITE [OW] background only. (tagged as LASER- [OW] in the title)

Laser Transfers are harder to use than our Inkjet Transfers due to the printing process. If you are a beginner, We strongly recommend our Inkjet Opaque Transfers instead (Not the Laser Printer type).
Opaque Inkjet Transfers are probably the easiest to use out of all the transfers we sell. You should only use Laser Transfers if you are unable to use an inkjet printer.

Laser Opaque White Transfers are far easier to apply compared to our Laser Transparent Transfers, however the printing process can be tricky due to the paper density and extra care needed to feed it through the laser printer.
Laser Transparent [T] Transfers are much cheaper and easier to print, but are harder to apply compared to these Laser Opaque White transfers (You need to invert the images and do some peeling, but can have a more realistic result when done properly).

These Opaque White '[OW]' transfer sheets come with a white background that remains after you transfer it. This means that any unprinted areas will appear white after transferring.

Opaque transfer paper works with all fabric colours and are necessary for use with dark fabrics (especially black). The examples in the images above and below should explain this well.

For example, if you want to create large pure white numbers on a team jersey / soccer shirt, you don't even need to print anything. Just cut out the shape of the numbers and iron it on (or you can use the printer to print out the borderlines to make it easier to cut out). If you want to create more detailed coloured images, it would be best to colour the unprinted areas with the same colour as the background fabric so it doesn't look unprofessional. For example, you would have to colour the paper black so it matches a black background. See the colour matching section below in the instruction section for an overview of what we mean. You can change the background to any colour you want, or you can leave it as white.

These transfers can also result in a matte or semi gloss texture. You should be able to choose a matte or glossy finish by choosing the texture of the paper covering it during the crucial iron phase, which presses it into shape (eg : the wax paper in step 6 of the instructions).

Just like your fingerprint is left in a plasticine / playdough when you press on it, the same applies to this transfer (only during the transfer process, as it will become permanent after). Therefore, the smoother the fabric and the material used to back the transfer in the transfer process, the glossier the result. To get a matte result, use a textured, non stick surface. It helps to have a slight gloss when using it with certain glossy/shiny high quality fabrics which may include some forms of silk polyester and nylon etc that shine a little under light, while other fabrics benefit form a matte texture, such as cotton.

Suitable Colours, Fabrics and Surfaces

These Transfer Papers have a Opaque White Background and are suitable for fabrics or surfaces of any colour. (Please see the diagram below for an explanation)
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
The transfer paper needs fibres, micro fibres or micro grooves that most types of fabric have. This is because the transfer paper needs to melt into such grooves/fibres to cling to the fabric and secure itself. Look under a magnifying glass at your intended transfer's destination. If the surface doesn't have these grooves or fibres, the transfer paper can't cling to it and chances are it won't stick well, if at all. It might work with certain wood materials or cardboard and paper decor with micro fibres (tissue paper worked very well), but we cannot confirm it due to the varying manufactured textures of such wood / fabric items.

You wouldn't want to use it with any fabric that it not meant to be ironed on, like some plastics that will melt . Basically don't use it with any fabric or material with a "DO NOT IRON" warning on it, or any fabric that will melt or get damaged at the high temperatures of the iron. We advise that you experiment for yourself to prevent damaging your garments.

These are Opaque Transfer papers can be used with fabrics of any colour, although they often used for dark or coloured fabrics because the transfer provides a solid background for light to reflect off your coloured ink. This way, the fabric doesn't absorb all the light before it can reflect any colour. Therefore, ink is still visible in their correct colour regardless of the fabric's colour. Since they come with a white background; you should print an image with a background that matches the fabric (e.g.; print a pink background with your image to match a pink shirt). Please see the image below for an example of what we mean.

History of Transfer Paper
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

A bit of History: Industrial type iron-on transfer consists of an image printed in reverse (i.e. mirrored) and applied to a piece of high release paper. The image is usually printed onto the paper with plastisol inks which have the characteristics of being flexible enough for stretching and durable enough for wearability. The transfer is typically used for decorative purposes and applied to garments, mugs, mouse pads, and other surfaces. The image is applied to these items using a heat press machine or home iron which uses high temperature (typically 385 degrees Fahrenheit) and pressure to transfer the ink from the paper to the garment. The process of transferring an image from the paper to the garment typically takes typically 8-12 seconds and does not require a drying or curing process once applied. Transfers are available in a variety of sizes, processes, and colours. Most transfers produced today are known as hot split transfers where the ink splits between the transfer paper and garment when heated.

Today: Improvements in technology allow this transfer paper to be used with your home iron and home printer without the need for special inks or machines. Ink goes onto the transfer paper, the transfer paper then merges with the ink during the heating(ironing) process and melts away from the paper backing onto the fabric it is right next to, somewhat like superglue goes onto to paper, which then hardens shortly after. There are a variety of iron-on transfer papers available today which you can print on using your computer printer. The 3 most popular iron-on transfer papers available are: colour laser copy (CLC), thermal, InkJet and Laser Printer paper. The CLC paper must be used with a colour laser copier such as a Canon Colour Laser Copier System. Thermal paper is intended for thermal printers such as those produced by Fargo. The latest transfer papers to hit the market are inkjet transfers and laser transfers, and the laser transfer papers are what we are offering in this auction.

Using Transfers Compared to Direct Printed Garments
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
With the improvements in technology used to produce transfers, it is virtually impossible to tell the difference between a garment printed directly with a screen printing press and one printed using an iron-on transfer. In most cases, the iron-on transfer has a soft feel (or hand as we say in the industry) and is as durable.

The advantage to using transfers lies in your ability to run your business with limited inventory. Because you don’t typically print the shirt until it’s sold, you can offer hundreds (even thousands) of designs to your customers just by keeping minimal stock of the transfers which cost considerably less than a pre-printed shirt.

Imagine if you wanted to offer 300 different shirts to your customers. If you carried pre-printed garments, you would have to inventory each design in a minimum of four sizes and keep on hand at least 2-3 pieces of every size. That amounts to inventorying over 3600 shirts. For most small business, this is not realistic. To carry the same 300 designs using transfers you would only have to inventory four sizes of blank garments and 2-3 pieces of each design. This is a more realistic scenario for most small business owners.

Preparing gifts using transfer papers at home can also be more feasible and cost effective for creating that special gift for someone, unless of course you want to get them a lifetime supply of t shirts. .

Durability when Washing
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
You might be wondering how in the world the toner can survive the washing machine. The transfer paper material when heated, melts a little and forms a sort of protective barrier around the toner, which is already slightly melted into the sheet during the laser printing process. Together this forms a coating or barrier much in the same way you laminate a business card or certificate to waterproof it. And for the very little remaining toner that doesn't get waterproofed, it generally washes off with no issues. So some fading may or may not occur depending on how toner saturated your final product it. But generally, quite alot of toner will remain permanently embedded in the waterproof material of the Transfer paper.

Special care is normally not needed to wash a garment printed with a transfer since it has the same characteristics as a pre-printed or direct printed shirt. However, we recommend washing the garment inside-out and in cold water to prevent the cotton fibres from peeling away from the garment. It is normally the cotton fibres peeling away which cause fading in a printed shirt regardless of whether it was printed with a transfer or directly printed.

We suggest you wait at least 6 hours before attempting to wash fabric with a new transfer on it. Again, the instructions are further below.

Surface texture and impression/appearance after printing
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
It is soft. Transfers normally have the same textures and feel similar to a pre-printed garment you might find in stores. It you have used hemming web before, it feels similar, except that it is smooth. It is also not so rigid, and will bend easily with the fabric. It does Not feel like a piece of plastic stuck to the shirt that other cheaper versions of transfer paper might produce.

Can a transfer be reused?
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
No, it is not a stamp pad. Once applied, the transfer cannot be reapplied again as the transfer has already been transferred to your designated fabric. You will be left with the waxed backing the transfer was resting on earlier, which can be used for other things.

Can I Customize, Add, or Change an Existing Transfer?
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
You cannot alter the image of a transfer already adhered to the transfer paper. However, you can add-on and accessorize transfers with lettering, other designs, or with custom transfers.

Equipment needed to make a Transfer
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
1. Unlike our Inkjet transfer papers, this Laser Transfer Paper only works with Laser Printers. Inkjet printers do not work, and neither do water colours, crayons, paint or permanent markers as they ink will just flow right off. Laser printers embed toner into the paper using heat, and this highly specialised paper requires a small amount of heat during the printing process to prevent the toner from running off.

2. You need a heat transfer device: It should be flat and should be able to get very hot (around 180 Degrees Celsius). All transfers that we sell can be applied with a professional heat press machine or with a home iron. Theoretically, you can even use a hair iron or a frying pan that is still hot, but that is up to your level of skill). Instructions are further below.

Software and Printer needed to use the transfer paper
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
Software: You don't actually need software as you can draw directly on the transfer paper using permanent markers or a laser photocopier etc..However, unless you are a superb artist, you will probably need a printer for printing sophisticated and detailed designs. Any software that can print will do fine. We recommend software that is able to print a mirrored image as well as give you the ability to create view or modify graphics. Examples of software programs on the market are Microsoft Paint (Comes with windows operating systems), Open Office, Microsoft Office (Word, Microsoft PowerPoint etc)Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe PhotoShop, Hanes T-Shirt Maker, Ulead Photoimpact, Corel Draw, and many others... The paper doesn't know which software you use so it doesn't really matter which software you use, so in regards to software, basically you can print using any software. You can even use an laser photocopier!

Please keep in mind that unlike opaque transfer paper which we stock at our other auctions, whatever is printed on transparent transfer paper WILL appear reversed like a mirror after you iron it on.

Printer: A Laser printer is required. Inkjets will not work as the ink will flow right off. This paper can be used with most laser printers such as those manufactured by Canon and Hewlett Packard, Lexmark etc... However, keep in mind, you must use a laser printer that uses toner and a low to moderate level of heat (See warning below).
Please use your knowledge and discretion before purchasing laser transfer paper as Laser Transfer Paper printing can be a bit tricky. If you are not familiar with laser transfer papers, we recommend you use our inkjet transfer papers instead. The reason is due to heat. Heat is required for the final transfer phase, yet laser printers also use heat to transfer the image to the transfer paper; as such, there is a natural risk of the transfer transferring to your printer's heating roller (this usually isn't fatal for laser printers, but can be annoying to clean).

Laser printers that specially pre-heat paper to high temperatures above 180 Degrees Celsius or use Special High Temperatures during the printing process should also be avoided or used at your own risk and discretion. These printers should be avoided if possible for the reasons mentioned earlier.

It is possible to clean off bits of transfer paper that stick to the roller, and instructions for basic cleaning of the printer heating rolls is stated further on. For advanced cleaning, you will need to consult your printer's user manual, manufacturer or technician.

If you are unable to perform maintenance on your printer or don't know how to clean/change the printer rollers etc, you should not purchase these laser transfer papers as you will risk ruining your laser printer. (Please try our inkjet transfers instead; they are much easier and less complicated to use.)

We cannot test every single laser printer that appears on the market, but the manufacturer has compiled list of those we they tested, click here to view the list of manufacturer tested laser printers. If your printer is not listed, it may or may not work. Even though a printer model is listed, the state or settings of the printer roller may still make the printer unsuitable for use. We may update this list from time to time, and we do not warrant the accuracy of this information as we cannot independently verify the manufacturer's compatibility claims.

How do I use it? (click here for a printable version)

Your situation will vary compared to ours when we typed up these instructions; eg ambient temperature and equipment used. Therefore, time settings and heat settings may vary. These instructions are only meant as a approximate guide so please use these instructions at your own risk. You may wish to utilize your own method if you know a better and safer way to utilise this item.

First and foremost, 5 things to remember at all times:

1. Know your Laser Printer - You must not use this laser transfer paper if you do not know how to, or are unable to clean or change the rollers and perform maintenance on your laser printer as you will risk damaging your printer with these laser transfer papers. Heat is required for the final transfer phase, yet laser printers also use heat to transfer the image to the transfer paper; as such, there is a natural risk of the transfer transferring to your printer's heating roller (this usually isn't fatal for laser printers, but can be annoying to clean). Any laser printer that has very old worn down rollers or heats paper above the paper's melting temperature should also be avoided where possible (or use at your own risk/ discretion). If the transfer paper gets 'transferred' to the printer roller, you will have to clean the rollers later, which is recommended anyway after each transfer (described further down).
2. Test sheets are an ABSOLUTE MUST! : Before you start your main project, you must first cut out / make tiny 2cm x 2cm test transfer samples and try transferring those to identify the best temperatures and times to use with your equipment. Start from low temperatures (~100 degrees Celsius) and shorter heating times (10 seconds) and increase the temperature and heating time gradually till these test samples transfer properly. You can for example, print/transfer tiny name tags onto shirts or spare rag cloths or tissue paper first until you get the best temperature and time configuration, or you will risk ruining a lot of material and wasting a lot of transfer paper. If you are printing to Expensive fabrics and materials and don't have material to do test sheets on, you can try doing a test transfer on the inner sides of the garment or where mistakes will not be visible, eg: transferring to an expensive shirt turned inside-out; and if it fails, you should not use this transfer paper with that material or you might ruin it. Also note that if the temperature is too cold, your transfer won't stick, and if its too hot, it won't stick properly due to excessive melting, chemical breakdown and evaporation etc...

3. Avoid moisture - Laser Transfer paper is not easily damaged by moisture, but you should still store it away from moisture in an airtight bag/container when it is not in use to prevent it from degrading over time.
4
. IMPORTANT: Blank Page Printer roller clean ( Do this quickly after each iron on printing session)- If any bits of transfer material peels off and gets stuck to the heating roller, you can usually remove them easily by printing a empty/blank document on white porus, 'Normal' everyday printing paper using your laser printer. (Inkjet copy paper works a lot better than laser printing paper which isn't very porus). Since the heating roll in your printer should not be porus, the transfer material sticking to your roller should be temporary unless your roller has cracks and is heavily worn down. Therefore, printing a pure white blank image will usually cause all the offending bits of transfer material stuck on the roller to stick to the blank piece of white paper that feeds through the roller when the next sheet of paper comes through. Alternatively, clean the roller manually based on the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Do Not Mirror! - Use whatever inkjet printer or software you want, but remember, whatever is printed on OPAQUE paper will not appear reversed like a mirror after you iron it on.

If you are ready to begin, please note the following instructions. they are based on our experience with them.
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

Step 1 - Identifying which sides to use
If you have your Transfer paper in front of you, notice that there are 2 sides on this paper.

Side A is Smooth & Shiny in Texture
Side B is Smooth & Shiny AND Rubbery in Texture.

Try scratching a tiny corner of each side. The side which feel rubbery when you scratch it is the side you need to print on (Side B).

We Strongly recommend you 'mark' Side A for reference- make a small invisible indentation mark using a pen, or anything that allows you to identify it later. (You will need to re-use this side later in the transfer process since it is waxed. It may seem obvious now, but it will be hard to tell later after you peel off side B. )

Step 2 - Designing your transfer
On Side B, print out your design that you want transferred using a laser printer. Use the manual sheet feeder if there is one, and be careful of the paper orientation as some laser printers flip the paper around during the feeding process differently for manual and automatic tray feeding.

Be careful not to tear the surface.

Step 3 - Cutting to size

Cut your image to size if required, be careful not to tear the rubbery surface film of Side B.
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

Step 4 -Seperating the layers
Very Carefully peel off SIDE B from the back paper SIDE A, and cut it to size.

Be careful not to tear the rubbery surface of Side B.

Keep the left over paper (Don't throw away Side A. You will need to re-use this side later in the transfer process since it is waxed)

Step 5 -Preparing for the transfer
The ironing process should be done on a hard, flat, heat resistant surface (like a heat resistant counter-top, table or desk). Place the fabric on the hard heat resistant surface and position Side B Facing Up On the fabric just as you would like it to look in the final result.

Step 6 -Wax Paper
< Be Careful Here! >

To ensure your printed piece only sticks to the fabric it is sitting on, use the Waxed side of Wax Paper to cover Side B while you iron it on to the fabric. So when you transfer the image, Side B only sticks to the fabric it is sitting on, and not to your iron.

(If you don't have wax paper, use ONLY the face of Side A which you marked earlier in Step 1. It is also waxed, so you can use it perfectly well. Be careful as Both sides on that paper now look glossy- if in doubt, use the less glossy face of Side A as it is indicative of wax).

If you use the non waxed side, the transfer will glue the paper and the fabric together.

Step 7 - Cover
Cover the transfer paper with a 2nd thin layer of paper, or tissue paper or a thin cloth. This evens out the heat and protects your iron in case of leakage from the transfer.

Step 8- Transfer process
Iron your transfer into the intended fabric at the temperature and time which has proven to be the most effective with the test sheets that you should have done earlier. (20 to 30 seconds at about 190 degrees Celsius is an approximate average. Note that time/heat will differ for equipment, materials and irons).
Step 9 - Peeling off
Let the transfer cool down and carefully remove the 2nd protective layer, then peel off Side A(or the waxed paper) from the corners without burning yourself. (Reheat if necessary if it sticks too hard and or use tweezers if you would like)
Step 10 - End
If ugly bubbles / damage occurs, or if you would like to add texture to the transfer or improve the transfer's appearance, see the instructions below. Otherwise, let the transfer cool and dry for a few hours and then you can use it as normal. We washed it after 10 minutes with no problems, but we recommend waiting 24 hours.

Other Notes

Repairing or Rescuing Failed and Damaged Transfers:
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
Don't throw out damaged / failed projects! - You should be able to rescue them very easily with opaque transfer paper.
In the event of damage and peeling over time, simply re-create (re-print) the image, and repeat the transfer process right over the failed / damaged transfer.

Opaque transfers can be layered and stacked; this means you can iron a transfer on top of an existing transfer attempt - This is extremely useful for repairs.

Since the new transfer comes with a white background, the old previous transfer is basically covered up/obscured by the new transfer image placed on top of it. Therefore, the new transfer will be the only one visible. In otherwords, if a T-shirt transfer fails or suffers damage over time, don't throw out the T-shirt!. Just reprint the transfer (or just a section of the original image that is damaged), place it over the existing failed transfer or damaged section, cover it with wax paper and iron it as before. Let it cool down first and then peel off the wax paper, which should leave you with an even stronger transfer looking pretty much as good as new!

This is useful if you wish to create raised texture effects.

Secret Method for Superior long life and unparalleled durability that is totally unmatched by other transfers on the market:

This method works on both our Opaque and Transparent transfers.

Note: This step requires Transparent iron-on transfer paper which is sold separately. Transparent transfers are needed for because they are see-through.

As mentioned earlier, our transfers are stackable. This means, you can take a blank sheet/piece of transparent transfer paper and iron it over your existing transfer. This creates a thick permanent layer of transparent coating over your transfer which shields and protects your existing transfer from any damage. With this extra layer, your transfer is several times stronger than normal, extremely waterproof, and very scratch resistant. The more layers you add, the more ridiculously strong the transfer becomes!

Just how strong is it? We used the sharp end of scissors to scratch a transfer double coated using this technique. Not a single bit of the ink had come off after 20 moderate 90 degree scratches using the sharp tip of our scissors. That's far better than some commercial factory transfers we have come across from major brands!

You can even decide the desired surface texture based on the type of transfer paper used (matte/ gloss). Most customers prefer the matte transfers to do this extra layer as it results in a very natural look. (It is also easy to apply- at least when used over existing transfers due to the chemical bonds).

You can also add images and text with each layer at your discretion.

Improving the Appearance of the Transfer / Adding Texture / Removing Bubbles:
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
If after performing your transfer, you end up with an uneven surface (or a surface with bubble craters that look like burst pimples), or would like to adjust the texture, just cover it with a single sheet of textured paper (preferably wax paper for the removal of bubbles, but normal laser photocopier / white inkjet printer paper will do fine), and then iron it for a 2nd time at maximum temperature briefly for a few seconds (or as long as its needed to remove the bubbles). Once done, let it cool and peel off the paper carefully. If you did not use wax paper, some residue may be left on the paper. (This is normal; if too much comes off, use wax paper instead). After this, the bubbles should have also disappeared (flattened down), and your transfer should have a new texture. We discovered by accident that this process usually improves the appearance of the transfer regardless of whether there are bubbles or not. You can use different textured paper to give the transfer a glossy, matte or patterned surface. This process works best with Transparent Gloss and Opaque transfer paper. The image below is taken from a real life demonstration. (Note: We are not aware of any brand called 'Gloriou Beans Coffee' at the time when this image was created by us in 2008, it is only used as an example).

Transferring the Image:
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
HAND IRONING: The iron should be preheated to the hottest setting and be completely emptied of water and set to the dry setting. Iron the shirt to remove any wrinkles and excess moisture. Iron on a safe hard surface like a counter top. Do not iron on a wood, glass or metal surface. Place the transfer face down on the garment. Iron, using the heaviest pressure, in straight lines vertically and horizontally over the entire image. Make sure to overlap the edges. Obviously, iron each section of the paper evenly. Don't iron one part more than the rest. The Fabric should cool completely and then the excess paper that isn't part of the transfer should be peeled away using an even motion. Each part of the transfer paper should be exposed to the heat for around 30 seconds, but you must utilize trial and error for determining both the pressure and exposure times. Ironing times may therefore vary from as little as 10 seconds to 1 minute for any section of transfer paper.

HEAT PRESS: Set the heat press to 340 - 350 degrees Fahrenheit (around 170 degrees Celsius). Prepress fabric for a few seconds to remove wrinkles and excess moisture. Allow the garment to cool. Place the transfer face down on the garment. Using medium pressure, press for 20 seconds. The transfer paper can be removed while hot or you can allow the transfer to cool before removing paper in an even motion. A hot peel will leave a brighter initial image and a Matte finish. The cold peel with leave a heavier layer of coating over the image which can lead to a better durability.

Ironing / Washing the completed garment / fabric after the transfer:
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
It is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours prior to washing the fabric/garment for the first time after the transfer. For the initial wash, turn the garment inside out and wash separately in cool water. Immediately remove the garment from the washer and put in the dryer at a warm setting. NEVER use bleach. To iron the shirt, do not iron directly onto the transferred area.

Storage of unused paper :
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
You can store paper that has images/text printed on it for some time before you transfer it to the fabric. Just ensure that the paper doesn't get damaged by water/moisture/sunlight etc) in storage prior to transferring to the fabric. After printing your design on the transfer paper, there is no officially set time limit to when you should do the transfer the transfer. The longest we waited was 1 week, and it still works fine after. The time interval though, varies based on the type of ink you use to create your image on the transfer paper, ie: how the toner interacts with the paper before it is printed.  Many factors influence shelf life after the image has been created on the paper. It should be able to be kept for weeks on end but we cannot officially recommend any set time because there are too many factors involved.

Preferably, return unused portion of paper to a sealed airtight bag or container with as little air, water and moisture in it as possible. Keep the unused paper or portions in a cool dry environment away from heating and cooling sources, and also avoid UV radiation such as the sun. Bent / warped paper may be flattened under a stack of books overnight (or by other methods that you can think of, except heat irons).

Colour Matching Advanced Users / Complicated images with undefined borders for opaque transfers:
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
Opaque transfer paper doesn't merge into the background like our transparent transfer sheets. That means that any unprinted area will appear white after transferring. So, if you want to create more detailed images with detailed or blurred boundaries, it would be best to colour the unprinted areas with the same colour as the background fabric. Matching the colour may be difficult unless you are willing to make solid borders or use an obvious dead end colour, like black, on a black shirt, or cut out the image boundaries to great detail. It helps to do a colour match, using a colour matching sheet printed from a computer image (click here to get one, or you can create/use your own rainbow sheet); an example is shown below:

What we think about its quality
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
The manufacturer says this is a hi tech high quality laser transfer paper, and we have reason to believe it is true due to the complicated nature of the laser transfer process.

Laser transfer paper is rare and new to the commercial market in 2008..

We have since seen a few other brands and what they have to offer, and we have also tried some of them.

Honestly, we really don't know how to tell the difference between T-Shrit transfer paper quality. They all seem the same to us. All of them work well for us, and we can't tell the difference between the transfered fabrics available at a commercial store or one that we did at home ; and that is all that matters to us - Its of professional quality.

Because we have experience with Ink-Jet transfer papers, we got it right on the first try when we received these transfers. We printed an image on the paper using a Brother HL1430 Monochrome Laser printer, cut out a long piece and tried transferring them onto an old piece of cloth. We suggest you do some trial and error too. We can give no further recommendations or instructions than those displayed in this listing. Exact times for heat exposure and pressure applied will vary from person to person. This is due to skill, the different models of home irons, different types of fabric used, as well as the temperature, surface conductivity and humidity in the ambient environment it is used in etc...So any configurations we give you will not be sufficient .A large portion of this is trial and error. We wish you the best of luck with your transfers, and although we usually get it right the first time, others may not be so lucky. Expect failure at times, and expect to clean the rollers some times - we did experience the transfers sticking to the roller, but they came right off on the next piece of paper we printed. But please don't blame us if you cannot get it to work correctly or you wreck your printer. You have been warned.. (we recommend you try our inkjet transfer papers first - they work just as well and are easier to use for beginners) Note: Inkjet printers do not work with these laser transfers as the transfer paper is somewhat water-proof.

Please read this carefully and choose how you want your item to be packed:

Not all postal officers are the same. There is NO Perfectly Safe shipping method. You have to decide what level of risk you want to take with your package. We don't restrict buyers choices, and we can usually ship it by any method you want, even in a large box if you pay for the extra shipping and handling costs.

The basic shipping and handling fees described above includes handling / dispatch record fees as well as postage fees using a simple water resistant plastic layer, pretty much the same way most magazine subscriptions are shipped; they almost always arrive in great condition (there may be slight dents/ creases or folds, but they flatten out again during the ironing / heat transfer process as that's what irons do best). This default method significantly reduces the chances of the paper and delivery slip getting wet by the rain, or torn because of 'hard folds (when packed with cardboard that gets folded sharply). This default method also allows for faster delivery compared to boxed parcel delivery services, and is very cost efficient.

We usually ship transfer paper by either of 3 methods below (but you can request other methods); Choose carefully, as there are advantages and disadvantages for each shipping and packaging methods (stated below).

Method 1) By default, your transfer paper will be sent to you inside a transparent sealed plastic layer, with no cardboard backing.
Method 2) For an extra $0.65, your transfer paper will be sent to you inside a transparent sealed plastic layer, with 1 layer of corrugated board backing.
Method 3) For an extra $2.80, your transfer paper will be sent to you inside a thicker box or very hard box thick cardboard pack..

Reasons for and against hard board backing/ corrugated board include the fact that when hard cardboard gets bent by the postal service, the bend is very hard and sharp; this cause permanent tears to the coated sheets when they are squeezed into small mail boxes / PO boxes in a rush, or if they get crushed (we experience it first hand). By comparison, the default method without corrugated board, often follow any bends gradually without permanent tears or creases, easily making its way into any mailbox, but may risk impact marks if the postal service is very rough. Thicker boxed packages are generally safe but at the expense of weight, significantly increased price and slow delivery time. Boxes don't usually arrive with daily mail / letter deliveries as they may be sent via a parcel service van, it is also very expensive to send boxes overseas. However, if your letters or magazines often arrive torn, punctured, or heavily damaged, you should consider requesting a different postage method than our default method; it's your choice.

To request a particular shipping method other than the default method, let us know after your purchase, and wait for our reply and price quote before paying. If we don't hear from you when your payment is received, we will send it by the default method you paid for.

Choosing a Risky / uninsured / non registered service is very dangerous for you, the buyer, as your item can get damaged and lost in transit and or stolen from your mailbox or doorstep after delivery, (depending on the type of risky service). In our experience, this very rarely occurs. However, by bidding on and purchasing this item and choosing any of the risky shipping methods mentioned above, you certify that you are asking us to send you your order against our safety advice, and you hereby release and discharge us the seller from all liability which may arise from your decision to have your order sent by any of the Risky shipping methods stated above.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible; we will probably be able to assist you as per our non dead on arrival warranty policy. If your order does not arrive after 3 weeks, please file an item not received claim with eBay or PayPal for them to investigate; If your claim is rejected or if the claim is decided in our favour, we request that you respect eBay''s or PayPal's decision and do not to leave any feedback for this transaction, or we may take legal action against you. Any warranty time period available for item's shipped by risky shipping methods is officially counted from the date of despatch, and not on the date of delivery.

International Buyers – Please Note:
- Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

- Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
- We are not in control of the customs authority in your country. We cannot predict customs delays or clearance delays.

It is EXTREMELY important that you put the right identification as a reference with your payment. Please put your identification with your payment eg: enter it in the "reference box" when paying via internet banking, or write it on a piece of paper and send it with your cheque or money order. If you don't do this, we cannot match your payment with your order, resulting in long delays. PayPal should automatically do this unless you use the 'send money' option.

Identification should be your Username or the Item number ; (especially the last 6 digits). Please do not put anything else.

If you want to pay by bank deposit, which only allows numbers as reference, please ask the bank teller to put the last 6 digits of the item number as reference so it "appears on our statement". (Bank tellers often mess this part up.) If they cannot do that, you must send us an email with your "Username" and the "branch BSB code" of the branch where you deposited your payment.

(If you are paying for a multiple item purchase, simply put your Username or any one of the item numbers as identification if you cannot fit all of them in.)

Payment terms and conditions: You must not bid or purchase this item if you do not agree to any of the following conditions: Payments must be made in Australian Dollars and must be able to be cashed or tendered in Australia. The only method of payment accepted for payments made outside of Australia is by Visa or Mastercard or through all payment methods accepted by PayPal. Placing a bid on this item is a contract to purchase it. We will send you an invoice automatically or manually within 24 hours of your purchase. Unless otherwise stated, payment is due within 14 days of purchase to a maximum of 28 days (for combined shipments only). Payment deadlines can be reasonably extended upon request to a maximum of 28 days. If payment is not received after 14 days, we have the right to cancel the transaction, re-list the item for sale, sell it to another person, return you your payment (excluding costs) if it is received later, file a dispute, and or utilize a debt collection agency to collect any amount you owe. An item is not paid for unless the payment has cleared. Clearing times are estimates and we do not guarantee clearing times. We only dispatch goods after payment has cleared in full.

If you purchased this item and no longer want it, please let us know and we will consider cancelling the transaction for a small fee without penalty. This is to cover the eBay's listing fee and or administration costs.

Warranty and Disclaimer

This item comes with 5 days very limited warranty from date of delivery. This is an expendable product, so special conditions apply in regards to returns (stated below). You should perform the test sheets prior to use to prevent unnecessary problems.

In the event that we receive a request to refund sheets that have already been used, you will be required to submit photos of the physical failed attempts as evidence in digital format via eMail or in hard copy. This is not required for unused sheets or if the sheets are printed but have not yet transferred. Therefore, do not discard any failed attempts as they will be required as evidence if we are consider a refund of any used sheets. As a fraud prevention measure, we will also not refund more than 4 'used' or 'partially used' sheets; because 4 sheets, including test sheets, would be reasonably more than enough to determine whether the batch you received is faulty or unsuitable; (if 4 sheets fail, you should stop using the remainder and contact us because something may be wrong). This limit doesn't apply to unused sheets, or if we have told you directly otherwise.

Please select your packaging method carefully, as we do not usually provide warranty for damage in transit as there are too many factors involved (but let us know and we may be able to assist you). Damage and or problems caused by the misuse, abuse, negligent handling of the devices from its original purpose, attempts at repair, dropping or extreme wear are usually not covered by this warranty. Deterioration, loss, injury or damage occasioned by, or as a result of the misuse or improper storage, intentional or accidental are also not covered under this warranty. Warranty does not cover any apparent defects or lack of functionality or performance that has already been noticed by our staff and stated in the listing. We reserve the right to replace or repair the appliance within the warranty period at our discretion.. Shipping fees are not refundable.

We prefer to send your order to you new and unopened, so we do not (or rather, cannot) test the item prior to sending it to you unless you request it. Despite our efforts to ensure the manufacturer produces products that are fault free at the time of purchase, product faults may unknowingly occur. Therefore, at your request, we can test a small section of your transfer paper prior to shipment to predict if the other sheets will have any problems. This will involve opening / cutting the manufacturer's sealed packaging and a loss of a piece of transfer paper. Unless you authorise us to test it beforehand, we cannot guarantee your product will arrive operational, as it is a single use device and testing any part of the transfer would also make it unusable after. Please allow for an additional 24 hours delay for such tests.

Disclaimer

We are not present to actually do the transfer for you, so warranty does not and will not cover any fabric, garment or any form of material object that you use these transfer paper with. As mentioned before, please perform test sheets and follow the instructions to reduce the chance of ruining your transfer or ruining expensive materials. You accept all risks and responsibility for losses, damages, costs and other consequences resulting directly or indirectly from using this transfer paper and any information or material available from us. To the maximum permitted by law, we exclude all liability to any person arising directly or indirectly from using these transfer paper and any information or material available from us.

Officially, In addition to any warranty provided, to give you peace of mind, we also provide an extra personal guarantee that all of our products will work as advertised on arrival. This is our non dead upon arrival warranty, and is useful if your item doesn't come with warranty. Our personal warranty does NOT cover problems directly caused by physical damage in transit. To be eligible for our personal Non-Dead on arrival warranty, you must test the item and inform us if there is a problem within 3 days of receiving the item. You should then mail it back to us within 7 days of receiving the item, and include everything we sent you; such the packaging and all parts and accessories, in order to be eligible for a Full 100% Refund (excluding shipping). If you do not do this, we are not obliged to entertain any refund requests. However, you are still entitled to the original warranty service if it is available for your item.

We are not responsible for items getting damaged or lost during transit in any way whatsoever. You must purchase insurance if you require financial protection against damage or loss in transit. You must purchase additional insulation protection if you require additional protection against possible physical damage such as from shock or rough handling during shipment. If it does get lost or damaged, you will be able to arrange insurance compensation with the postal service or by using the warranty provided by item's manufacturer.

Device failure can be caused by many reasons, and it is extremely difficult to decide who will be held accountable, and sometimes neither buyer nor seller is at fault as items can get damaged in transit through the postal service or through other unexpected non physical circumstances (eg; failure due to electromagnetic radiation / Excessive high or low temperatures while in transport / security xray scans etc..) Therefore, if insurance compensation cannot be arranged from the postal service, both seller and buyer agree to share the shipping obligations for getting an item replaced. If an item is damaged and its warranty is not void or expired, the buyer agrees to pay all shipping fees to return the item to us. Likewise, and we will also pay all shipping fees necessary to send the item back to the place the buyer sent it from. If you do not agree to this, we recommend you select and purchase shipping insurance and additional protective insulation.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Can these sheets be used on Mugs and plates and solid objects?
Answer: The transfer paper needs fibres, micro fibres or micro grooves like fabric does. This is because the transfer paper needs to melt into such grooves/fibres to cling to the fabric and secure itself. Look under a magnifying glass at your intended transfer's destination. If the surface doesn't have these grooves or fibres, the transfer paper can't cling to it and chances are it won't work or won't stick well. It might work with certain wood materials or cardboard and paper decor, but we cannot confirm it due to the varying textures of such wood/ fabric items.

Question: Can these sheets be used with inkjet printers?
Answer: We stock transfer paper that can be used with inkjet printers in our other auctions. You should not use the transfer paper sheets being sold in this particular auction with inkjet printers.

Question: My colours appear faded after ironing and at times appears uneven, is this normal and how can I fix it?
Answer: Fading is usually caused by excessive heating during the transfer process (Unless the ink you use fades with heat which is quite rate). What looks like fading is actually caused by the ink seeping or melting into the white transfer paper material which creates a waterproof coat. Excessive heating pushes the ink further inwards than necessary, so it wlll appear slightly faded. Try faster heating times or lower temperatures with test sheets till you get the best result, and always apply the heat evenly to avoid uneven patchy results. This issue doesn't affect our transparent transfer paper for this very reason.
