LATE 19th century OIL BOARD PRINT PORTUGAL SIGNED LOUIS

STUNNING ANTIQUE OIL BOARD PRINT SIGNED LOUIS AND DATED 19th century  

This vintage print signed in the lower left-hand corner with Louis and a partial date of July 1870 is stunning in detail and features a young boy driving a cart led by oxen across a country stream.  The colors remain vivid despite considerable age.  The print was removed from the original frame prior to my purchase of it.  This print is quite old and does have some water damage especially to the border board which also has some significant damage to the rim.  Some expected age-yellowing to the paper.

Recently acquired from a private estate collection from London, England along with several other high-end antiques and rare collectibles which I shall be listing shortly.

The English estate where I purchased this lithograph had it marked on the back with PORTUGAL AND OLD as can be seen in my close-up pictures below.  I am unsure of the artist, but I can make out the signature only as Louis as it is quite dark in the signature area.  The exquisite colors of the painting drew my eye instantly and I wish I could provide more information on the piece.  Please feel free to contact me if you can provide more insight on this work or the artist.

Measuresments:   20" in height and 16" in width on original back board.  The actual print measures 16" in height and 11 1/2" in width
