On May-16-08 at 07:05:57 PDT, seller added the following information:The lattice bracing system is really genial. It allows the builder to thin the top to otherwise impossible thicknesses (0.8 mm). The top responds to the vibration at an incredible speed and with great magnitude all throughout the top ... The violin tie system and tension relief remove the anchoring job from the bridge allowing the top to work only and exclusively on transferring the vibration of the strings from the saddle to the top.
The tie prolongs the life of the top geometrically. The sound on this Lattice guitar is magnificent. Big, clear and with huge projection. Every single voice is in the correct place and the instrument seems to have huge lungs. The cedar top adds sweetness and the resulting sound is the best you can think of.
I decorated the top with a gorgeous Russian rosette. Amboina burl from Thailand for the armrest, striped macassar ebony for the violin tie, Brazilian rose for the bindings and the most delicate and beautiful marquetry to decorate the instrument.
