This handsome little desk light is not only stylish but extremely lightweight at only 3.3 ounces, even with batteries in place.

A wonderfully handy item to have in your car, house or apartment. And due to the light weight, it's even good for using in a tent or car camping.

Plus, owing to the relatively low cost, it's a grand gift idea as well.

I also discovered how unexpectedly useful it was during a recent series of summer power blackouts here in Californialand. This is waaay better by far than using candles when the power goes out. It's a white, bright wide-area light (yes, it's a spot beam as the picture above shows, but will cover a wide area depending on position and gooseneck adjustment).

Compared to the yellow and relatively dim output of candles I tried using initially, well, there isn't any comparison. Plus the heat and indoor smoke pollution from candles makes this a no-brainer. It was funny, actually; I made use of the downtime by washing dishes and playing with my kitty while waiting for the power to return.

So consider it also as the ultimate emergency light (storms, blackouts, earthquakes, asteroid hits, etc).
Brand new, and very much ready to go, batteries included.

Well packaged in a nice-looking blister pack, just in case it's for a gift.
SPECIFICATIONS:

Takes 3 easily available AAA size batteries (included !). Power consumption is so low as to be almost laughable, due to the energy efficient bulbs (no heat generated at all).

High brightness output Super-Bright L.E.D.'s give 7-12 hours typical usage depending on type of battery used (alkalines or rechargeables would last the longest).

Anticipated bulb life: 100,000 hours, a very, very long time indeed.
