It uses a very bright 8W bulb running on standard 115V AC current, and it includes a 6 foot, grounded cord that is UL listed.

The design virtually eliminates "hot spots" found in competitive units. The frame and reflector combined with the thick plexi top provides uniform and even lighting over the entire viewing area.
