A large punch bowl set (bowl on stand + 10 cups). Hand painted colorful plums, magnificent paint strokes, superb use of colors, large embellished gold bands as enhancement,... Pickard Artist signed "Heap" (Samuel Heap).
Tressemann & Vogt, Limoges, ca.1900 (marked both under the bowl and under the stand). As seen from the photos, the (red/brown) Pickard Studio overglazed stamp is apparently worn. Yet artist Heap's art creation is forever recognized and highly appreciated.
This is an absolutely gorgeous, beautifully hand painted, superb punch bowl set, and (may we also say) RARE because it's just so hard to come across a set like this.
Overall (bowl on stand): 14 in. wide x 9 in. high.
Punch bowl alone: 14 in. wide x 6-1/2 in. high.
Base Stand alone: 8-1/2 in. wide x 3 in. high.
Cups (10): Almost 4 in. wide x almost 3 in. high.
In great shape, NO chips, cracks, repairs.
