This little baby leatherback turtle linocut was created for the Tinglar Festivities in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, for the celebration of the newly designated nature preserve on the northeastern corredor where the turtles nest and hatch each season.

The paper is a Korean hanji natural acid free paper, green with subtle little flecks of fiber (orange, turquoise, lavendar, white). The ink is a very dark green.

As an artist, I split my time between Puerto Rico, which is my home, and the American Southwest, which holds my heart. I work in oils, watercolors, pastels and printmaking; my work has been in numerous juried shows and galleries in the Caribbean and the American Southwest.
