UP FOR BID IS A LIONEL PREWAR #78 BLOCK SIGNAL  FROM 1924-32. THE SIGNAL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION BUT THE BLACK PLATE ON THE BACK WHERE THE WIRES ARE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE HEAD CASTING IS SOLID WITH NO SIGNS OF DETERIORATION. THE POLE AND LADDER ARE FINE. OF INTEREST IS ON THE ORANGE BASE ARE TWO ADDITIONAL SLOTS WHERE THE LADDER GOES INTO THE BASE. NOT SURE IF THIS WAS A FACTORY ERROR BUT I WANTED TO MENTION THIS IN THE DESCRIPTION. OVERALL A VERY ATTRACTIVE PREWAR SIGNAL THAT WILL LOOK GREAT ON YOUR LAYOUT OR DISPLAY CASE. GOOD LUCK AND PLEASE REVIEW THE PHOTOS I HAVE PROVIDED. I ALSO HAVE A VERY NICE # 79 STANDARD GAUGE FLASHING SIGNAL LISTED IN C7/OB AS WELL. A VERY LOW RESERVE HAS BEEN PUT ON THIS ITEM TO PROTECT MY INVESTMENT. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
