At the Antiquarian, Rare and Collectable Books section of Better World Books, it is not only our goal to fund literacy all over the world, but we will also stop at nothing to find new homes for the books entrusted to us, and we've got a lot of them.

With tens of thousands of books and only about ten people, our merry band can't do justice to all of these books, but maybe you can!

That's why we're selling these ENORMOUS Gaylords (large cardboard containers) of books ten at a time.

Each container averages around half a ton (or 1,100 lbs), made up of books which are very much like the ones we already sell in our auctions via eBay. They are pre-1970 books on just about any topic from Art to Zoology. Many, if not most, are ex-library.

These books come loosely piled in a large cardboard container measuring about four feet to a side. We haven't formally assessed the constituent books in these lots, so we can make no guarantees about the subject, condition, or resale value. But given our previous experience with items just like these, we estimate the resale value to average $5 to $10 per book, with the possibility of a few high-priced gems.

This auction is for hundreds, up to thousands, of assorted titles, predominantly pre-1970 and largely from university libraries, for $990 plus freight.

If you don't want to buy so many, we have another listing for these boxes one at a time, for $125 apiece. But hey, if you're going to have a thousand pounds of books freighted to you, why not ten?
