All interference and analog radio noise are a thing of the past. With Digital people can communicate simultaneously without interfering with one another. Depending upon conditions, DTR Digital radios typically offer an enhanced range performance of 20% over traditional analog XTN radios. The DTR’s were designed to address a long standing problem – getting signals through and around physical obstructions such as adjacent buildings, school campus settings and multi-story buildings. Motorola conservatively rates the DTR series range at 300,000 square feet or 30 building floors. Remember however that any radios operating range is determined by many factors and no fixed range statement will apply to all given environmental situations.

Unlike ordinary analog radios these new fully Digital radios use special background handshaking; the entire system actually keeps track of itself. Confirmation tones tell you that other radios are in fact in range and listening thereby guaranteeing that your transmission will get through. If a unit or person you wish to speak with is out of range, or has their radio turned off, you will know it even before you speak. You will know immediately if your transmission can or cannot be heard. No other ordinary radio can do that!

You can ring or vibrate a private user on your system leaving a screen alert or send a preset SMS text message. You can forward calls to your unit to another unit if you are away. There are advanced special security features that can be enabled if requested. For example, the Master radio can be set up to disable any radio remotely, set the overall system time, add or delete users, and other security features.

The DTR portables offer extended battery life and stunning Digital audio quality. Each radio is surrounded in live rubber and durability is Mil-Spec for dropping, water and rain, dust and vibration shock. There are many headset and remote speaker microphone options available for this product.
