Scarce Highly Regarded Historical Novel - Fictional story during real-life events of the late 1700s involving Native American Indians, French and English. The beginning has a good "hook" and could make the next box office block-buster film.


ITEM DESCRIPTION: LOST VIRGIN by CHARLES F. BOWEN - 1959 FIRST EDITION HARDCOVER. Printed by Bruce Humphries Inc. Publishers, Boston - Good Condition - See Scans. Dark Blue Covers with Gold Lettering are not worn and have no edge wear but corners are dinged. Both front and back boards are slightly concave, due maybe to a moisture condition. The binding is tight. The pages are clean and crisp. The closed front edge of the pages has a small indent that appears slightly lighter but it doesn't show any effect on the page faces. There is what looks like some ink dragged across the lower edges of the front and back fly pages that have the maps printed on them. On the inside of the covers crossing over to 1.5" of the fly pages is a tanning that ends where the dust jacket would make contact (All visible in the scans). There is also a name inked on the inside front cover and a small number on the top right corner of the fly page. The Dust Jacket is in a protective mylar but the DJ has edge wear, edge browning, some small pieces missing and the spine area of the DJ is slightly darkened. I deal in finer unusual books in the very best clean condition. Books are mailed in a custom-made box. Shipping is very fast - Priority with Insurance Included.  Closed book is 8.25" x 5.75" x 1"

CONDITION: Scans show in order; Dust Jacket damage, slight cover wear, tiny stain on fly-page, title page and fly-page adhered lower center (manufacturing characteristic), copyright statement, ink stains inside of Dust Jacket, tanning inside cover front, concave covers and tanning inside cover back.



Items are packaged securely and well protected in a custom-made cardboard box, not an envelope.
