LOUIS LEAKEY ESTATE--BOX OF OLD SPEAR & ARROWHEADS
THIS IS ONE OF THE AROWHEADS AND SPEAR HEADS WHICH CAME FROM LOUIS LEAKEY ESTATE.
This is one of five boxes of arrowheads and spear heads purchased at auction at Schmidt's auction house in Ann Arbor Mich in 1988. This display box contains two arrowheads and two spear heads. When I first bought the cases I assumed that they were American Indian artifacts. Through an exchange of emails and pictures with a paleontologist in the Netherlands, I was enlightened to the fact that pieces come from Africa. Leakey was not only born in Africa, but most of his discoveries were in Africa. I do not have any provenance to back up my claims, that is why these artifacts are not priced in the thousands of dollars. This is your opportunity to own historical pieces at a fraction of their worth. The case contains two arrow and two beautiful spearheads.
