LOVELY ITALIAN WHITEWORK WITH BUTTERFLIES TABLECLOTH

This skillfully made cherished piece is a wonderful example of Victorian Italian whiteworK. These tablecloths are reminiscent of a very grand and regal period in linens. Dates from the turn of the century. The cloth is all hand done on fine linen. The condition is very good with no stains, no broken brides in the openwork, no repairs, a few very small pin holes as shown in photos, and no weakness anywhere and the linen is strong. I have recently washed and pressed this cloth, and this cloth is stain free. This cloth is Italian made and consists of wonderful hand done buttonhold cutwork butterflies, skillfully done raised embroidered florals in satin stitches, florals with seed stitches, scrolling openwork/cutwork, and embroidery and scalloped edges. This tablelinen measures 106" x 87". This grand tablecloth will enhance any holiday table setting and a great addition to one's linen collection. These Italian work tablecloths of this size and quality are few and far between and this one is a real beauty!

Our merchandise is collectible and is not new and has lived a long and eventful life. We do not launder or dryclean unless stated in listing, and most times have been in storage for many years picking up old age storage oxidation spots.
