Rarity makes value! With a mintage of a mere 4.2 million this coin was rare the day it was struck 151 years ago! From the original minting, subtract all those lost, damaged, destroyed, melted for their metal, held by other collectors, or just plain worn out by over a century and a half of circulation, and you are left with a coin of exceptional rarity!

Whenever I find a coin like this I can’t help but think of all the history it has seen. The opening of the west, the Civil War, the Indian Wars, the pony express, stringing of the first telegraph wires and the building of the Union Pacific Railway. Abe Lincoln or US Grant, Custer, Roosevelt, Pershing; anyone may have had this coin in their pocket.

SHIPPING

I always combine shipping!

If it is a matter of another coin or two there is no additional charge. If there are multiple, or heavy items, I charge enough to cover the added postal fees. I always use first class or priority mail. Single coin purchases are sent first class. Bulk purchases will usually ship priority. Delivery confirmation is included on most orders at no cost to the purchaser. I will send notification of shipment and the delivery confirmation number via eBay so you can track your parcel through the post.

REFUNDS

I will give a refund only if the item is not as listed. Do not bid on any item you are not sure of. I will gladly answer any questions you may have, but please ask them prior to placing a bid.
