This auction is for a set of 2 large deep oval plates

La chamba pieces are all handmade from black micacious clay found only in central Colombia. There are no toxins used in the production of this dinnerware. The clay is also lead free.

Archeologists believe that this region in Colombia is home to the oldest pottery found in the Americas. The pots made in a tiny rural village result in cookware which is both beautiful and functional in our modern homes.

La Chamba dinnerware is perfect from the stove to the table. It is suitable for the oven or stovetop (with electric stoves we recommend a heat diffuser on the stove top- it is not necessary with gas stoves) and microwave.
