This auction is for "LaVarenne Pratique" by Anne Willan, founder of Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne, Paris. Many world-famous chefs have trained at LaVarenne. The book is a complete culinary reference book for both novice and expert cooks. There are 22 chapters, each offering an overview of the food discussed and then explaining how to choose, prepare, store, cook and present it. Many recipes are included to illuminate a way of cooking a particular dish. In addition, a guide to kitchen equipment and a glossary of culinary terms are included. Over 2,500 specially commissioned photographs illustrate the techniques. The book has been stored for several years in a heated/air-conditioned home and is in very good condition. There are no stains or tears. The dust cover shows some wear from storage, mostly along the top edge. Winning bidder will respond via email within 72 hours of close of auction to confirm purchase. Payment via PayPal must be received within 7 days of auction's end. Buyer will pay actual shipping cost. There is no handling fee and insurance will be provided by me at no charge to the buyer.
