Payments

• CALIFORNIA BUYERS MUST ADD 7.75% CA TAX TO HIGH BID AMOUNT. This is state law and is not flexible.
• Payment for all items must be received at our California facility within 7 days of the auction close, no exceptions.
• We accept payments made by Paypal (preferred), money order, cashiers check, and with credit cards directly by calling (714) 542-3144.
• We prefer immediate payment through Paypal. Your item will be shipped to your Paypal confirmed address, Paypal rules. If your address is not confirmed please confirm it with Paypal before sending your payment or your payment will be returned and your order delayed.
• If you are unable to confirm your address with Paypal you will not be able to pay with Paypal. No exceptions, these are Paypal rules.
• Please do not ask for shipment to an alternate or unconfirmed address when paying with Paypal. Please do not put an alternate shipping address in the notes field, we cannot ship to an address in the notes field and this will delay your order.
• Send money orders or cashier's checks to Recomp, 1704 S. Santa Fe, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
• You may have to use an express courier service like DHL, Express Mail or Federal Express to ensure the payment is received within 7 days. No exceptions.
• If you pay by credit card, the address for billing the credit card and shipping address must be the same. No exceptions. These are credit card company rules and are for both our protection.

Warranty & Technical Support

• NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ON "SOLD AS IS" MERCHANDISE.
• Most items are sold as-is without warranty of any kind. Most of our items are very technical and cannot be thoroughly tested by us. Buyers save a lot by buying from us at very low prices, the cost of that is that you do not receive a warranty.
• Warranty offered if any will be stated in the auction. If warranty is offered it is a return warranty, you can return the item for refund less shipping at your expense.
• There is no warranty on items shipped outside the US, even for shipping damage. Bid accordingly.
• We are remarketers of surplus equipment, we cannot provide technical support on this sale.
• The information in the auction listing is usually all the information we have. We can look at the item and give you more information before the auction closes. Please email questions after reading the listing carefully. The vast majority of questions we receive are already answered in the ebay listing.

Shipping

• We ship UPS. UPS cannot deliver to a PO box. If you send your Paypal payment with a PO box for your Paypal confirmed address this will delay your order. Please confirm a street address for UPS shipping before sending your payment.
• We welcome buyers picking up locally. Unlike some ebay seller we do not charge for local pickups. We DO need to know you are coming. Please email to let us know when you are coming so we can have your item ready.
• Stated amount is for delivery in the continental USA only. Other locations will be more.
• We insure all items through UPS or other carriers, except for international shipments.
• There is no insurance on international shipments.
• Tracking numbers will be provided by email. If you do not receive a tracking number please check your spam folder, those emails are automatically generated and they are sometimes trapped as spam. If you don't receive a tracking number by email look on the ebay page that you bid on with us, there is a tracking link there in nearly all cases- it says "view order details". But if you don't get a tracking number by email you may email a request, we respond to all such requests.
• For items described as "shipping is buyers responsibility" or "local pickup only" you are responsible for engaging a freight company if you want one and preparing all paperwork. We do not get involved in freight shipping.

International Information

• Payments for all items must be received at our California facility within 7 days of the auction close, no exceptions.
• We ship internationally via UPS. There will be UPS brokerage charges, we have nothing to do with that. We do not ship internationally through any carrier that does not have end to end tracking like USPS. We have had too many items lost in the mail, so we no longer ship USPS.
• All payments must be made in U.S. dollars.
• We cannot accept payments via Paypal for international buyers. No exceptions.
• We accept payment by bank wire transfer. Your payment must be received within 7 days, no exceptions.
• We accept payment by international money order. It must be in US dollars and cashable in the USA. If paying with an international money order you are still responsible for ensuring the payment reaches us in California within 7 days. This may require you to use an express courier service like DHL or Federal Express. We prefer this method though the time constraints can be demanding.
• We are not enthusiastic international shippers, if you are not willing to pay for international service please do not buy from us.
• We cannot accept personal or business checks on international purchases.
• The carrier will be collecting any duty, taxes or brokerage charged due to the carrier or to your country on delivery. Duty and taxes charged by your country are always they buyer's responsibility. These brokerage charges can be very significant.
• Any warranty offered for domestic sales is void on international sales, even for shipping damage. Please bid accordingly.

Questions?

We are remarketers of computer and industrial equipment. We buy bankrupt lots, old models, service stock, leftover production runs. We are not experts at any of this, in most cases all the information we have is in the ebay listing. We are not the personal, previous user of any of this stuff. We almost never know how old it is, or even whether it works perfectly.

In almost all cases all we did was plug it in and see if it looks like it powers up. Some items would require an entire engineering test lab to test thoroughly.

If an item is expected to sell for only a few hundred dollars or less we do less thorough testing. If you want us to have an item thoroughly tested before you buy it that might be available but it will not be free.

On more valuable items we try to test more thoroughly when possible, but sometimes we can't test completely due to the complex technical nature of the item.

We have a large scrap operation here, we scrap 100,000 pounds or more of electronics every month. If it looked broken or worthless we would have scrapped it. If you see it on ebay it's because in our estimation it's not broken or worthless. We do not sell broken items unless the item is still worthwhile for parts or is still usable and valuable- at least to someone. In this case defects will be noted if we know about them.

The information in the auction listing is usually all the information we have. We can look at the item and answer questions that can be answered by examining the item before the auction closes. Obvious defects will be disclosed in the auction listing if we know about it, we never conceal defects. We usually include a picture of any defects if possible

Please email questions after reading the listing carefully. The vast majority of questions we receive are already answered in the ebay listing.

We respond to all our emails, if you don't get a response within 24 hours Monday through Friday resend it.

If you see the ebay "Or Best Offer" logo in our listing you may send an offer by the Best Offer link.

If you don't see the "Or Best Offer" and you want to make an offer please make your offer more than the starting ebay price. We never end auctions to sell for the same or less than the starting bid price, it wouldn't be fair to other buyers who might be watching that item.
