Product Category Description: More economical than hand washing, the SteamScrubber is designed for laboratories washing general purpose labware. The unit features a powerful steam cycle that penetrates hard-to-reach places and removes dried and baked-on contaminants. Throughout the cleaning cycles, the SteamScrubber is continuously heating, thus boosting water and glassware temperatures and improving drying results. Tank, wash arms, and tower are constructed of Type 304 stainless steel. Fiberglass blanket and aluminum-backed acoustic material provide double insulation for heat retention and low noise levels. The washer includes a motor that recirculates up to 60 gallons of water per minute throughout the tank, purified water pump, steam generator, and detergent and neutralizing rinse solution dispensers. Drying is accomplished by a 750W sump heater and 700W steam heater. Microprocessor control with liquid crystal display has five factory preset programs, which may be altered for specific requirements by changing wash and dry times and number of rinses. Two additional unique programs may be created and stored for repeated use. Cycles include multiple tap or purified water rinses and heated or non-heated drying. Enhanced washing and drying results can be obtained with 2150W of heating power on 230V models. Each washer comes with stainless steel upper and lower racks and a 1.9cm (3/4") hose barb for connection to a purified water source. Additional inserts and racks are sold separately; see 66074-915 series. The front door on all washers is brushed stainless steel. Mobile and freestanding models also have brushed stainless steel sides, an epoxy-coated steel back, and a melamine top. Washers with a viewing window in the door have a 25W interior light that illuminates the tank while the latch is locked.
