This pair of geta is a hard to find larger size, at 27.5cm(10 3/4 inches). They're 10.8cm(4 1/4 inches) wide. I have these in lots of designs, as well as a more contemporary look ladies geta selection in my store now. They're made of kiri(paulownia) wood, long prized for its lightness and durability. The dai(base) is stained a rich brown that lets the natural grain come through, and is sloped for additional comfort, and the cushiony soles makes them even easier to wear and enjoy. The hanao(straps) are a nicely padded cotton, printed with high quality, rich dyes in eye catching, traditional motifs.
Geta are usually worn with the wearer's heel hanging off the end of the base, so if your foot is longer than these, it's not s problem. If your foot is a bit smaller than the base, that's fine too-it's largely a matter of personal preference.
When worn with yukata summer kimono, tabi aren't used. These also look great with jeans! The usual bare foot and geta look is nice, or why not add a pair of my stretch tabi without kohaze hooks for a fun, Japanesque fashion statement?
Buy one of my yukata or yukata/obi sets and the shipping on these geta is FREE! Or, buy a pair of tabi with them and you won't pay any shipping for the tabi. I'm always glad to combine shipping on all multiple purchases.
Thanks for looking!
