Lady Bird Johnson BP Mamie Eisenhower SIGNED Book + COA

FlatSigned (hand-signed on the page) by First Lady Mamie Doud-Eisenhower, wife of former United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and signed on a bookplate by First Lady Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Taylor Johnson, wife of former President Lyndon B. Johnson!  "An informal tour of the home of the Presidents of the United States . . . The photographs in this book are part of a remarkable record kept at the White House during and after its recent restoration.  They show flowers as Mrs. John F. Kennedy first proposed they should be arranged for these historic rooms - in free and uncontrived bouquets of many colors, quite unlike the conventional floral displays that had been customary before."  A fantastic collector's item!

Signatures have been certified by Global Authentication Inc., the premier authentication service!  Hardcover in original jacket with First Lady Johnson's signature and an authentication sticker on a bookplate which has been mounted to the free front end page (GAI # GV 485894); and First Lady Eisenhower's signature and an authentication sticker on the free front end page itself (GAI # GV 485895).  Includes 63 black and white photographs and 9 color plates.  Copyright and publishing years coincide and no subsequent printings are listed on the copyright page.  $8.95 price is intact on jacket.

Jacket is in VERY GOOD- condition with very little edgewear or age-toning.  Some rubbing on corners, some small tears on some edges with miniscule paper loss, some light toning throughout, faint pencil markings on top section of front flap, all flap corners intact.  Book is in VERY GOOD+ condition and is square and tightly bound with crisp pages inside.  Original red cloth-bound boards with titles in gold, some faint rubbing on top and bottom edges.  Pages are very clean aside from a previous owner's name, address, and date on the free front end page.  Otherwise, there are no stray marks.

This book is in great shape for its age and it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
