Ladys Vintage Braided Fur Hat Cute for Large Doll Also
I am not certain just exactly what this is. It
looks like a small fur hat that would sit on top of a lady's head and possibly
with a veil added. The fur looks as though it is braided, or two pieces
for fur wound around. It has an 8" diameter one way and 9" the other
way. I have no idea as to the age. My guess would be 1930s or
40s. It is also a nice size for a doll and I am using a 29" doll to model
the hat. It does look nice on a larger doll. She is not for sale
with this listing. Just the hat is included with this auction.
I am presently listing on eBay a variety of hats
from the late 1700s to 1940, about 150 years of ladys head covering
styles. It is a very interesting and diverse collection. Only one is
from the late 1700s, several from the Civil War Era, one from a
production of "Hello Dolly" and wide brim hats from the Edwardian era.
Later this month I will also be listing some ladies jackets from the 1870s
and miscellaneous accessories. You may want to check my sellers list and
Gallery for these other items. I have been selling antique doll clothing
for 20 years, and many doll items replicate the lady's fashions of the
different eras; however, am not too familiar with people size
clothing. I have done the best I can in my descriptions. The pictures might best describe the items.
