This is the ultimate combination of symphonic fury with crazy '70s solos, and the summation of Schifrin's amazing run of classic "urban" pop/orchestra scoring, as heard in The Cincinnati Kid, Bullitt, Dirty Harry, Magnum Force and others.

 

This Gold Disc Edition of Enter the Dragon - not to be confused with the easily available CD, Warner Japan/Warner France, representing only about 27 minutes of the score - has been remixed and remastered, featuring a vastly expanded presentation (57:14) in chronological order, produced by Nick Redman. Liner notes are by Variety film music journalist Jon Burlingame.

 

Bruce Lee's most famous film introduced him to mainstream American audiences and cemented his superstar status. Lalo Schifrin scored this 1973 adventure with his greatest fusion of funky backbeats, catchy melodies, screaming orchestra and wild percussion.

 

If you imagine the crazy '70s backbeats of Shaft crossed with the symphonic fury of Aliens, that gets you around a quarter of the way to the experience of this awesome score.

 

This CD was produced for inclusion ONLY with the deluxe video package of the film and was NOT available in record stores. FSM was the only authorized outlet for this disc separate from the video package. It’s been sold out for years now.
