It's ideal for scrapbooking, costumes, clothing, trim, applique, quilting, cuffs and collars for show clothes, your imagination's the limit. It's soft, machine sewable, easy to work. It runs 1 1/2-2 oz.'s in thickness and totals approx. 5 sq. ft.
The total square footage of a hide is obtained by a scan of the leather at the tannery. It refers to the total area of leather in a hide. For instance, a hide that measures 24” X 36”( a typical lambskin) = 864”÷ 144”(12” X 12”) = 6 sq.ft. A 6 sq.ft. hide does NOT mean the hide is 6 ft. long. Again, it is the total AREA of a hide.
