Lancaster Antique Flow Blue China Tureen c 1892





Hi

For your bidding consideration we are pleased to offer  a fabulous antique flow blue tureen made by New Whar Pottery in the Lancaster Pattern c. 1892. This lovely tureen came from the estate of a flow blue collector in Ohio.

Firstly, it measure 9.5" in length less the handles, 7" wide and 3" deep. It has lovely flowyblue flowers on the lid.The lid has no damage. The tureen itself is also in very good condition but does have a paint chip on the foot.

There are 7 pen sized spots of blue uner the glaze on the inside of the bowl. There are three stilts on the inside too. inside the bowl -all done during thr manufacturing. There are no cracks -no crazing and ver faint and minimal utensil line on the inside of the base. There are remanants of a blue sticker inside which will soak right off.

It has the new Wharf Pottery Stamp which was difficult to photograph as it is very flowy. With the assistance of a magnifying glass I was able to see the Letter "R" then "Lancaster" a banner then a crown then a knot,then "New wharf Pottery" and "England" beneath that. oddly there was th mark of a cross or "X" on the base and on the insied im of the lid.There was also the letter "F' next to the logo and the number"14" on the base as well.

There are three stilts on the base from the manufacturing process. This a fabulous find and sure to make a lovely gift. Thank You

Ground in the United States.International purchases of $75.00 or more will receive a 25% discount on shipping fees for USPS Priority International,Canada Standard and USPS First Class for our international customers. We are happy to offer which ever service our customers prefer. Be it USPS -Fedex or UPS.

Insurance will be included on all purchases.
