Do you want to connect your laptop's stereo audio and S-Video output to a composite monitor? Here is the kit for you!

Includes S-Video to Composite Video adapter and 3.5mm stereo miniplug to dual RCA adapters. All you need are three RCA cables, and we have those, too, in other auctions!

Read the following carefully to see if this is the solution for you:

  • Check your laptop's video output jack. This is a four-pin male S-Video adapter with an RCA jack. It works with laptops, video cards, VCRs, and other components that have a four-pin jack. The four-pin plug also will plug into 7-pin jacks, and will work fine in most cases. The use of the other three pins in 7-pin jack is non-standard and not implemented in many video systems. We can't guarantee that this adapter will work with ALL 7-pin video components, but we CAN guarantee to give you your money back if it doesn't.

  • Check your laptop's audio OUT capabilities. If you have the standard stereo miniplug output, our audio adapter will work for you. Simply connect two RCA cords to the adapter, and plug into your composite component's Left and Right audio jacks.

  • Works fine with recent G4 Macintoshes.

    The S-Video to Composite adapter is a high-quality converter with passive filtering circuitry that plugs directly into the S-Video and RCA connectors of modern audiovisual equipment. Use your own RCA cable, or see my other auctions for the modular version with 12-foot GOLD cables and gender converters included. This converter has a female RCA jack on one end and FOUR PIN male S-Video plug on the other end. Includes low signal loss circuit for bidirectional conversion from composite video to S-video, or S-Video to composite video. Converts high-quality S-video output to stunning RCA/composite input. Also may be used with AV equipment, such as projection TVs, VCRs, etc: if you have a decent composite signal, you can go the other way and convert it to S-Video, as well. (Your results will only be as good as your original composite signal.) Results are pretty good, but can vary with the quality of your composite monitor/device and/or your video card's refresh rate. Don't be afraid to experiment!
