Large Egyptian Round table Inlaid. Floral designs and Two peacocks in the center. All Hand made. Perfect Condition.Size 21 1/2  inches high 43 inches Diameter.Great looking and fine made  Inlaid  egyptian round shape wood table inlaid. Great looking, Magnificent Piece, Very decorative, will bring  pleasure to a room . The irridescent of the inlay on this item is breathtaking,  The art of making this piece is just unthinkabel. The way the artist inlaid this table, with the two peacocks is very hard job. Usually most inlays are done with just floral designs, But this is an exceptional piece. The colors of the black wood, the irredescents of the inlay, the white and gold inlay, just makes this piece a true work of art. You do not come across a piece like this very often. This is the first time I see a piece like this.

The art of inlaying  is hard and time consuming. They take dried walnut pieces and are cut to a rough shape of desired object. Then, they are carved by a skilled artisan, creating complicated patterns . Small pieces are cut to form together various shapes - rings, stars, ornaments,   and that many parts of the furniture need to be slightly curved, which makes it necessary to profile the inlay in a third dimension, on top of the complicated flat shapes! Then the pieces are glued in place, creating a perfectly uniform, flat surface, flush with the walnut base that holds them. When all the pieces have been mounted together, and finally create a single piece of furniture, they are finished with high quality varnishes, to protect the delicate inaly as well as the fine walnut wood. Owning a piece of furniture with inlay is very unique.
