This Duck is just stunning. The colors are beautiful. On the bottom of the jug it is recess imprinted - St Clement France 7492 France 3. I purchased it in Europe years ago. St Clements produced current reproductions of their original designs for many years. I believe this to be a reproduction by the company from the 1960s or 1970s. The newest reproductions have neon colors which don’t capture the original beauty the way this pitcher does. While he is not antique, he is old and beautiful and will be lovely in any setting. I have redecorated my kitchen so this little guy was stuck in the back of shelf for the past 2 years. It is time for him to find a new home. If you’re looking to spice up that one spot in your house with this really beautiful Duck then he is the guy for you. The glaze is lovely and the piece is in great condition except for a small chip in the glaze on the bottom of his tail feathers at the back of the pitcher. On the bottom of the piece there is a 1 inch hairline glaze crack.
