RARE ANTIQUE NW PERSIAN TRIBAL PILE-WOVEN MAFRASH FRONT PANEL, probably Shahsavan, last quarter of the 19th century, and in excellent overall condition for the collector. The exact size is: 1'-5" x 3'-5" (43 x 104 cm). 100% saturated natural dyes. Woven with cotton warps and wefts. Bold design with four octagon medallions on an ivory field. Top end and side over-castings are original and complete. The bottom end is slightly reduced and sewn back secure to prevent future loss of knots. Excellent allover pile condition with minor lower pile areas from age use in the past. Clean and collection ready. Will make a great wall hanging.
