Latex Foam Broadsword Sword LARP Boffer RPG

This auction is for a single foam boffer broadsword based on the Roman Gladius design, one of our most popular new items.
This is an excellently produced sword; better quality than others of the same type you can find on the market. It has a sturdy fiberglass core wrapped in Kevlar tape for safety and is covered with a firm, close cell EVA foam shell. The entire weapon is then coated in colorful Latex to provide a tough, safe, finish. The revolutionary part of this design is the Kevlar tape binding which covers and extends beyond the fiberglass core, creating an additional 'transitional' internal core which extends past the fiberglass core: the purpose being to resist both tip fold-over and penetration of the foam by the core, two problems those who have used these types of boffer weapons before are familiar with.

This is an excellent ready made item to add to your LARPer character. Swords are probably the most often used weapon of any LARPer, and generally looks much like everyone else's weapon as well. It takes a good chunk of time to produce and then is generally heavy as a rock, or too whippy to pass inspections. Not only will this allow you to spend more time on your character, but you will also not tire out as quickly weilding this well made, light-weight sword. This is also great for when you want to take your character and your game to the next level with more realistic looking weaponry.

This sword is a nice utilitarian sword with a heavy look, in the style of a broad sword. The pommel and guard are reminicent of that of a Roman Gladius.The pommel and guard are of an antiqued gold-tone, and the grip is wrapped in a comfortable red leather. The blade is silver-tone; the metallic paints catching the light just enough to add to the realistic look of this weapon. Total length measures 33". The blade measures 26" long and is 2.5" at it's widest point. The grip is 4.25" long and 1.25" in diameter at it's slimmest point.

Whether you use this for sparring, martial arts practice, or for LARP and other role-playing games, any activity becomes more fun with boffers. The colors of this foam weapon may vary slightly, as illustrated by the bottom photo. This item is new and has no problems.
