This is a nice two handled, lidded sugar bowl in Laurentian Pottery's attractive Tundra glaze. It's similar to the West German Fat Lava glazes of the 1970s, with a tan matte glaze and a bubbly tan and yellow drip with a contrasting shiny brown.

Both the bowl and the lid are in excellent condition, with no chips, nicks or cracks. Measurements without the lid are 3" tall x 5 3/4" from handle to handle. The bottom has the Tundra mark and model number (hard to read).


Laurentian Art Pottery of St. Jerome, Quebec was opened in 1939 by a Mr. Kominick, and is believed to have closed about 2005. The pottery was variously known as "LP" and "Poterie Laurentienne".
