Beautiful Lavender Color Creeping Ground Cover Phlox.These are some very hardy plants,I started out with 12 tiny bareroot cuttings purchased here on ebay about 5 years ago from a lady up north.I now have an entire yard full,the pictures are from my yard,taken on 4/03/2008. My plants are in full bloom now.These are very easy to grow from small cuttings,just place each cutting into small cell packs (used cell packs can be bought cheaper at a local greenhouse,just be sure to dip used cellpacks into a clorox solution ,1 cap of clorox to a sink full of cool water before using)filled with a good wet seed starting mixture (I get my mix from a local greenhouse in a 50 pound bag for about $11.00) and water daylily,place plants in a sunny location where they can get some sun but not to much sunlight ( I place mine under a tree that gets mild sun). Plants will be ready to plant in your yard ,(part sun to full sun)when you see roots growing out of the cellpack bottoms.Keep plants watered and after 2 weeks you can apply 10-10-10 fertilizer around them on the ground and water.Keep plants watered daylily until you see good plant growth,then you can water once or twice a week.Fertilize with 10-10-10 every February,plants will form big colorful mounds in spring,after they bloom you can take your own cuttings .
