Shell Pendant Necklace
Description
Beautiful Fair
Trade pendant shell necklace. Three circular shells are
suspended on black cord. Small beads and shells embellish
the pendants. Claw closure and silver links on back allow
for adjustment.
Size: Largest shell
pendant measures approximately 2.75" in diameter.
Necklace measures approximately 11.5" from top of
necklace to bottom of pendant.

About the Artisans
Peoples Recovery Empowerment and
Development Assistance Foundation (PREDA) is a small but
proactive, charitable, not-for-profit organization working
on a national and international level for human rights,
especially the rights of women and children. Located in the
Philippines, PREDA provides community support through a wide
breadth of projects. In addition, PREDA facilitates the
international marketing and sales of handcrafted items that
range from recycled juice bag totes to brush animals made
from the buri palm, as well as food items such as dried
fruit and juices.
Reflecting the natural beauty found in the Philippines, the
artisans of PREDA use readily available materials such as
non-threatened shell and stone to create beautiful jewelry.
Pendants of brownlip and blacklip mother-of-pearl, abalone,
or stone are accentedwith glass, coconut shell, wood, metal,
and semi-precious stone beads. Solitary pendants are hung on
leather or suede, accentuating the simplicity of the piece.
Each piece is handmade with the traditional quality and
creativity present in the work of artisans of PREDA.
